Henley back in action, at RSM in St.Simons
The last time Russell Henley competed was way back in late August, when he finished tied for 14th in the tour championship, after three top-10 finishes.
After a sluggish opening round, Henley has found a groove through three rounds of the RSM Classic in St. Simons and is in a tie for 42nd.
The RSM is the final scheduled tournament of the convoluted 2022-23 season. The 2024 season starts in January with The Sentry in Hawaii followed by the Sony in Hawaii.
His three-round total of a 9-under 203 is 11 shots back of leader Ludvig Aberg.
Henley had a bogey-free Saturday, with three birdies on the front nine and two on the back nine, following a similar day on Friday.
On a rusty Thursday, he bogeyed the second hole of his return, and had three more to counter two birdies for a 2-over round.
