The Bulldogs took the lead for good on a 23-yard field goal by Peach County grad Mason Maddox with 3:55 left in the third quarter. GMC added a touchdown run from Trequan Jones for a 10-point lead, the hosts adding a field goal a minute later.
GMC won despite being outgained by 70 yards in total offense, thanks to a dominant run game of 239 yards on 50 carries, led by Jones’ 119 yards on 19 tries.
