Peach County’s Jackson playing in East-West Shrine Bowl
Central Georgians ready for NFL conference finals
The Super Bowl will have a Central Georgia presence no matter who wins this weekend’s AFC Championship.
Houston County’s Trey Hill (Georgia) is a backup offensive lineman for Cincinnati. He played on five special-teams plays against Buffalo. The second-year offensive lineman has played in 11 games this season, mostly on special teams, and is listed as the No. 2 center.
Mary Persons’ Malik Herring (Georgia) was inactive last week for Kansas City, thanks to a hamstring injury. His status for this week has yet to be updated.
Former Mercer standout Jason Poe is on the 49ers practice squad. There are no Central Georgia connections on the Eagles.
