Mary Persons grad Holden cracks 1,000
A turnaround hook with less than seven minutes left in Towsonās 68-47 win over Hofstra gave Mary Persons grad Cam Holden is 1,000th career point on Monday night.
Holden, who cracked 2,000 points at Mary Persons, has 690 points in two seasons at Towson after 312 at Tennessee-Martin, for 1,002 points at the Division I level. He put up 355 in two seasons at Gulf Coast (Fla.) junior college.
The redshirt senior has a Division I career average of 14.1 points and 7.7 rebounds, plus three assists and 1.9 steals. He has started in 61 of the 71 games he has played on Division I.
Towson, of the Colonial Athletic Association, is 12-7.
