West Laurens grad finishes off Bacon
Nolan Daniel survived giving up three hits and held off Macon late to lead Savannah to a 3-2 win over the visiting Bacon.
Daniel, a West Laurens grad playing at Purdue, threw the final 1.2 innings to get the win.
Savannah led 2-0 after two, and Macon tied it in the top of the eighth only for the Bananas to get the winner in the bottom half.
Macon hosts Florence on Thursday, is back at Savannah on Friday and then hosts the Bananas on Saturday, leaving five games left in the regular season.
