Signings
Zemaya Carson of Warner Robins signed with Charleston Southern to compete in women’s track and field. Carson finished second in the shot and fifth in the discus last weekend in the GHSA Class 5A girls state track meet.

Middle Georgia State eliminated from NAIA tournament
It was a short trip to South Florida for Middle Georgia State’s baseball, knocked out of the NAIA regional at Miami Gardens in two games.
They lost to St. Thomas 5-1 on Monday and and McPherson 15-9 on Tuesday.
The Knights were held to six hits in the first game, striking out 14 times and walking only once.
A five-run sixth in the nightcap pulled MGSU even at 7 with McPherson, but the Bulldogs scored eight runs in the next two innings to seal it.
Blake Metcalfe had three hits and two RBI for MGSU (30-21-1), while Andrew Krauss and Derick Stager added two RBI.
