ACE 5, Peach County 4
ACE scored five in the first and held on. Jack Corrigan drove in two runs for the Gryphons, who won despite being outhit 6-4 and striking out 11 times, all from Jackson Peavy. Bryce Harrelson and Colter Ginn had a pair of hits each for the Trojans.
Houston County 9, Jones County 2
Garrett Hortman had three of Houston County’s hits and Elijah Smith drove in two runs. The 17-4 Bears survived nine walks with three pitchers throwing a two-hitter. Drew Burress belted his 13th homer and tied the program single-season RBI mark at 52.
Lee County 10, Northside 0
Perry 15, West Laurens 9
It was tied at nine through six innings, the Panthers exploding for six in the top of the seventh on an error, single, two passed balls, a double, single, triple and another error. Connor Griffin had three hits and three runs for the Panthers, Lane Smith adding two hits and four RBI. Carson Bryant and Alex Scarborough added two hits each, Bryant with three RBI. William Kellam had three hits and Camden Thomas two hits and three RBI for West Laurens.
Stratford 5, Mount de Sales 1; Mount de Sales 6, Stratford 3
The Eagles scored three in the sixth to put it away. Mikah Takac fanned six with four hits in six innings, Garrett Lang closing. Bricen Smith had four RBI on two hits to lead the Cavs in the nightcap, Fernando Washington and Evan Iuliucci with two hits each. Jimmy Bowden and Nate Slappey had two hits for the Eagles.
Tattnall 4, FPD 1: FPD 5, Tattnall 0
The Trojans won the small-ball battle in a game where the teams managed only three hits each but stranded a combined 17 runners. Benjamin Stubbs whiffed 11 in 5.2 innings and Gabe McGreggor three in 1.1 to finish it. Stubbs scored twice, and Cooper McMullen drove in two runs. Wills Handberry needed only 84 pitches for a complete-game two-hitter. Coleman Cauley belted a homer and scored three times, and Lucas Buckner had two hits for the Vikings.
