Westside’s Reeves enters the portal
In not terribly unexpected news, former Westside guard Kowacie Reeves Jr., of Florida is in the transfer portal.
His former head coach, Mike White, is now the head coach at Georgia.
He started 10 of 29 games and averaged 15.5 minutes a game, 5.5 points and 1.4 rebounds, ending the season with some strong outings.
Reports indicate that Reeves is open to staying at Florida.
Northside’s Nelson signs with Houston
Signings
Jones County kicking standout Evan West has signed with Ave Maria University, an NAIA program in Florida’s Sun Conference.
Stratford’s Garrett Lang signed to play baseball at Berry College.
Two Central girls basketball standouts have signed, TaNiya Pryor with St. Petersburg College and Trazur Cooper with Denmark Technical College.
