          The Cavs took advantage of 11 walks in the nightcap, Jared Diaz with three of their five hits. Diaz and Drew Senn had two RBI each.

Houston County 6, Lee County 4

          Leadoff hitter Gage Harrelson had two hits and two runs while No. 2 Drew Burress had two hits and two RBI to lead the Bears to the region win, notable in the 11-strikeout pitching performance from Ryker Chavis, Landon Tankersley, and Harrelson., with no walks. Both teams had 10 hits, the Bears (18-4/4-0) surviving six more stranded runners. Burress set the program single-season RBI record with 54.

Jasper County 14, Northeast 1

          The Hurricanes needed only five hits, thanks to six errors and 12 walks from Northeast, helping to lead to seven unearned runs in the four inning game.

Jones County 15, Stockbridge 7

          The Greyhounds trailed 4-3 after five, and scored 11 runs in the final two innings. Chase Milton and Marlin Mills each went 3 for 4 for Jones County, Mills with three RBI, and two from Milton Tucker Mix, and Dawson Harris. Aiden Payne and Landon Califf added two hits.

Mary Persons 11, Central 3

          Eric Snow and Ryan Jenkins each went 3 for 3 with Snow scoring three times and Jenkins twice with two RBI to lead the Bulldogs. Aric Mock and Thomas Brooks had two hits and three RBI, Gage Hopper with two hits.

          Dakota Jones had two of Putnam County’s five hits.

          Nate Slappey reached on a two-out error and came in with the lead run on Mekhi Lyder’s single to right. Then reliever Garrett Lang gave up a one-out single in the bottom half but closed it. Jimmy Bowden had three hits and three RBI for the Eagles, Micah Takac, Slappy, and Lyder with two hits each. Blake Cohen led the Vikings with three hits, Gavin Spillers chipping in two hits and two RBI.

Tattnall 5, Strong Rock 0

Benjamin Stubbs struck out 16 with no walks and three hits for the complete-game win, getting a 4 for 4 night from Russ Miller as the Trojans improved to 18-6/10-2. They visit Strong Rock on Thursday.

          Jackson Blakley, Beau Ellington, T Jones, and Jake Taylor had two hits each for the Knights, Taylor with three RBI and Ellington with two. Jordan Wainright fanned seven with no walks in five innings.

Jarrett Pierce had two hits for the Warhawks.

Washington County 9, Dodge County 4

The Golden Hawks turned a 3-1 deficit through four into the win. Justin Brett had three RBI for Washington County. Tye Moore had two hits and Joel Joiner two RBI for Dodge County.

Westfield 16, Young Americans 1

          The Hornets pieced together eight hits with seven walks and six stolen bases, with two-RBI nights from four players to go with a combination no-hitter.
