          The Cavs led 7-1 after one, but D-W put up seven in the fifth for the lead and win. Bricen Smith went 3 for 3 with four RBI for MdS, Landen Moore with two hits and four RBI.

Glenwood 12, Westfield 4

James Hayes had two of Westfield’s hits.

Howard 9, Northside 6

                     Howard led 9-3 until Northside’s seventh-inning rally that fell short. Andrew Garnett, Nate Campbell, Jerami Johnson, and Jackson Smith had two hits each for the Huskies, Lee Martin and Smith with two RBI each. D.C Coney had two hits for the Eagles. The 15-10 Huskies host West Laurens on Thursday and the 8-11 Eagles welcome Dodge County on Wednesday.

                     The Trojans rolled in 4.5 innings, Caden Dewitt and Cam King teaming for a two-hitter with nine strikeouts and four walks. Nathan Tidwell went off with five RBI on three hits, including two homers. Hutson Traylor added two hits.

Mary Persons 8, Veterans 4

                     The Bulldogs got two-hit nights from Eric Snow, Brady Christman, Thomas Brooks, Jake Gore, and Gage Hopper, Brooks with three RBI and Snow and Gore with two each, Snow belting two more homers. Brennan Mercer had two of Veterans’ five hits.

Perry 18, Rutland 0

          The Panthers got a 3-for-3 game from Carson Bryant, who drove in three runs, plus two-hit games from Dylan Butler, Alex Scarborough, and Price Massey, Butler with four RBI in the three-inning game.

West Laurens 29, Westside 0; West Laurens 15, Westside 0

          The Raiders scored two less runs than the two teams scored in points together when they played in football back in November, a 17-14 West Laurens win, in the opener. The Raiders took advantage of three errors, 12 walks, five hit batters and five wild pitches, needing only 12 hits in the 2.5-inning game. Eli Floyd went 3 for 3 with four RBI and struck out six in three innings, and Camden Thomas was 2 for 3 with four RBI and three runs. William Kellam drove in three runs on two hits and scored four times, Janson Meeks and Jace Thompson with three RBI each. In the nightcap, Floyd and Kellam each had two hits and three RBI, and Gunnar Jeffers had two hits and two RBI. Matthew Thigpen struck out nine in four innings.
