JD Lewis led the Gryphons – who sealed it with a seven-run fourth – with three hits and three runs. ACE needed only six hits, thanks to four errors and six walks.

David Pryna had two of Veterans’ four hits. A two-out double won it for Coffee in the bottom of the eighth.

The early-game slugfest slowed down, a two-run third the difference for the Indians. Gage Pittman went 4 for 4 with two runs and two RBI, and Trase Moore went 3 for 3 with three RBI and two runs. Jason Lann, Landon Fordham, Aren Barden, and Tyler Shields added two hits each for Dodge County. Rhett Blount drove in four runs on two doubles for Lamar County, Ayden Hollis chipping in ttwo hits and three runs, and Kale Bryan and Braydon Pines two hits each.

A six-run sixth sealed it for the Bears. Gage Harrelson, Drew Burress, Andrew Dunford, and Garrett Hortman each had two hits in the top four spots in the lineup, Hunter Chiappetta adding a two-hit game. Burress drove in three runs, belting a homer, along with Garrett Hortman, who had three RBI. Harrelson went off in the nightcap, going 6 for 6 with five RBI from the leadoff spot, his single to left bringing in Hunter Chiapetta with the walk-off game-winner in the bottom of the eighth. The Bears scored three in the bottom of the seventh to tie it. Dunford had two hits for the Bears, Burress getting the win as Houston County’s sixth pitcher. Buress set the program’s single-season record with his 12th homer.
Howard 13, Rutland 6
A pair of four-run innings lifted Howard. Nate Campbell went 4 for 5 with three RBI for the Huskies. Gavin Williams, Landon Daniels, Trevor Grimes, and Kevin Thompson each added two hits, Thompson with three RBI. Both teams had five errors, leading to 11 unearned runs.
Perry 12, Baldwin 1; Perry 15, Baldwin 1
Brayden Long had three hits and three RBI, while Carson Bryant, Tyler Newhouse, and Price Massey added two hits each, Bryant with three RBI in the five-inning opener. Alex Scarborough went 3 for 4 to lead the way in the nightcap. Newhouse and Tanner Knowles added two hits each. Four pitchers teamed for 11 strikeouts, Lane Smith with six against no walks.

Jacob Grimes, Ashton Jones, and Thad Griffith had two-hit games for the War Eagles, Grimes with three RBI. Four pitchers teamed for a one-hitter.

Cooper McMullen threw a complete-game shutout in the opener, with eight strikeouts. Benjamin Stubbs went 4 for 4 for the Trojans. Tattnall got sixth-inning homers from McMullen and Wilton Bumgardner, but lost the lead and rallied in the top of the seventh. Gabe McGreggor shut the door in the bottom half.
