Sandersville and Washington County celebrate Olympian Allisha Gray

          Allisha Gray was a quiet high school student and basketball player way back when at Washington County.

          A national championship, an Olympic Gold medal, and being the WNBA Rookie of The Year has changed her only a little.

          She was all smiles and a little chatty on Saturday when her hometown came together to honor her, closing off downtown Sandersville for speeches and proclamations.

          From a gym rat to having a mural on a downtown business wall, the ride will continue.
