Mercer extends Cronic’s contract
Drew Cronic didn’t get a chance to coach for a good while upon taking the head football spot at Mercer in Dec. of 2019, COVID-19 entering lives only a few months later.
A split season in 2020-21 and normal season in 2021 followed, the Bears going 7-5 last fall.
That was more than enough to lead Mercer to extend Cronic’s contract to 2026, as per a tweet Monday afternoon.
No announcement was made or details released.
