          Janaye Walker led the Region 4 champs with 19 rebounds and six points, while Madison Ruff added 16 points and Kassidy Neal 11. Baldwin led 36-9 at halftime.

          The homestanding Chargers got ahead early, leading 30-19 at intermission. Taliah Grier went off for 28 points and eight rebounds for Central, TaNiya Prior adding 11 points, Frances Anyakudo seven rebounds, and Taye Davis six steals.

Dodge County 62, Fitzgerald 59, OT
          Lyric Green scored 23 points and Altierra Gooch 18, with 10 from Jada Baxter, for Dodge County.
Washington County 78, Early County 27
          The Golden Hawks rolled, leading 39-16 at halftime and 66-25 after three quarters. Makaili Parker and De’Asia Canty went for 18 points and six assists each, Canty with six boards. Ashley Gray added 14 points, seven rebounds, and six steals.
Lamar County 66, Thomasville 56
          The Trojans pulled off the upset, knocking off the Region 1 champ on the road. Lamar County improved to 19-10.

          The Eaglettes kept the momentum from Saturday’s win over defending region champ Deerfield-Windsor going, taking a 13-1 lead after one and 23-10 at the half. The blowout continued with a 37-14 lead after three. Shorter McCook led Stratford with 19 points.

Evans 64, Houston County 56
          Evans led 35-16 at halftime and 43-31 after three. But Houston County kept the pressure on, getting within single digits a minute into the fourth quarter. The margin was three at the 4:16 mark, and then four with 1:54 left, 1:07, and :21. Two Evans three throws with 19.1 seconds left sealed it, ending Houston County’s season at 9-16.
Grovetown 93, Northside 37

Class 5A

Veterans 57, Mundy’s Mill 51
          Aaron Jones helped the Veterans past the first round with 16 points, Tajh Williams with 15 and DJ Wright with 12.
Warner Robins 47, Woodward Academy 34
          The Demons had a 12-point lead in the second quarter, settling for a 21-14 halftime lead amid some potential foul trouble. The lead was 38-25 after three, the Demons holding off comeback attempts throughout the second half. Rashaun Williams led the 19-7 Demons with 19 points.

Baldwin 69, Shaw 54
          The defending state champs led 32-25 at halftime. Shatavious Hogan topped Baldwin with a mammoth night, 20 points and 21 rebounds. LaTaeveon Roach and Christian Burnette had 14 each, Burnette adding four steals, and Isaiah Dennis chipping in 12 points.

Class 3A
Burke County 67, Peach County 66
          The homestanding Trojans missed two shots in the final seconds and suffered a rough night at the free-throw line to get eliminated, finishing 16-10.

Stratford 68, Savannah Country Day 63, OT
          SCD led most of the game, only for Stratford to mount a huge comeback in the final minutes of the fourth quarter, and then get off to a good start in overtime. The visitors led 17-12 after a quarter and 35-26 at halftime. Stratford pulled within 52-50 with 4:13 left in the game and again within two with 2:51 left, finally tying it with 2:40 left on a dunk. Keondre Glover forced overtime, missing two free throws with 18.4 seconds left, then stealing the ball after the second miss for a layup seconds later. Stratford got a five-point lead in overtime, and sealed with a layup from Garrett Lang and free throws from Khalil Green, who led the Eagles with 21 points. Dre Bonner added 14, Lang 12, and Glover 11.

ACE 7, Lake Oconee 1
          The Gryphons led 5-1 after two, and needed only four hits – two from Sam Whitley – to win, thanks to seven walks. Jack Corrigan, JD Lewis, and Grant Edwards teamed for 17 strikeouts for ACE.
Dodge County 4, Northside 3
          The Indians survived four errors by doubling up the Eagles in hits. Gage Pittman had three hits, with two from Trase Moore and Riley Williams. Northside tied it in the top half of the sixth, and the Indians regained the lead in the bottom half on Moore’s single to bring in Pittman.
Howard 6, Stratford 0
          Lee Martin and Trevor Grimes teamed for a two-hitter, with 10 strikeouts. Martin had three hits and two runs, and Landon Daniels had a pair of hits, Grimes adding two RBI.
Jones County 12, Bleckley County 10
          The Royals gave the 5A visitors quite a scare after trailing 8-2 through two innings. The teams went back and forth, for several innings, Jones County holding on despite three fewer hits. Dawson Harris and Drew Jones each had two hits for Jones County, Tucker Mix with three RBI and Chase Milton with two.
Mary Persons 10, Eagle’s Landing 0; Mary Persons 12, Eagle’s Landing
          Jake Grant threw a six-inning, three-hit, 13-strikeout shutout on 79 pitches, boosted by two-hit games from Eric Snow, Brady Christman, Jake Gore, and Leighton Judd. Chris Carr got the win in the five-inning nightcaps, throwing a two-hitter. Ryan Jenkins had three hits and Tristan Hunt two, to go with three RBI.

          Kaden Mimbs and Tex Edge had two hits each for the Falcons, Edge adding two RBI.
Upson-Lee 9, Crawford County 1
          The Knights scored four in the first, and clinched it with five in the sixth. Jake Taylor, Jackson Blackley, and Colby Hemphill teamed for 10 strikeouts and a three-hitter. Evan Helms and Austin Wall had two hits each, Wall and Taylor with two RBI.
