            The Bulldogs take the region tournament title.

Montgomery County 46, Dublin 26

            The Irish take second in the region.

Northeast 62, Dodge County 45

            The Raiders were strong in winning the region tournament title on their home court. Lyric Green had 16 for Dodge County, while Ileisha Mitchell added 12.

Stratford 42, Deerfield-Windsor 41

            The Eaglettes started to pull away in the fourth quarter, but had to hold on down the stretch to knock off the defending region champs. The won their sixth region title in seven years, led by Gracie Jorgenson’s 11 points.

Tattnall 41, FPD 29

            The Trojans enter the state tournament as a third seed.

Washington County 69, Lamar County 56

            The Golden Hawks take third in the region, behind a big 32-point night from Ashley Gray, who also had eight rebounds. Mikaili Parker added 13 points and De’Asia Canty 11, plus eight rebounds and four steals.

Deerfield-Windsor 58, Tattnall 43

            The Trojans take a fourth place into the state tournament.

Dodge County 55, Jasper County 52

            Will Jordan’s 14 led 14-13 Dodge County, which took third in the region. Jaedon McClendon added 11.

Dublin 64, Dooly County 61

            Dublin takes the region title for the second straight year.

FPD 76, Stratford 71

            Jay King had 27 points and Jakhari Williams 20 to lead FPD – which didn’t lose to a region opponent all season - out of a sluggish start to the region championship on its home court. Nick Jordan added 10. Stratford led 32-29 at halftime, but Tattnall won the third quarter 26-14, draining five 3-pointers. Keondre Glover topped the Eagles with 22 while Khalil Green had 13 and Mekhi Lyder 11, plus 10 from Dre Bonner.

John Milledge 68, Brookwood 38

            The Trojans cruised to reach the GISA 3A Final Four behind 23 points from Keith Robbins. Marcus Prestwood added 15 points, missing a double-double by a rebound, and chipping in five assists. Jalan Butts had four steals, with four assists each from Briggs Eady and Banks Eady.

Washington County 64, Northeast 62

            Caleb Moore hit the game-winner to lead Washington County to its third straight region title. He led the Golden Hawks with 19 points, while Javecckio Thomas added 14 points, Tra’Vonte Byrd 11, and Willie Henderson 10.

Wilkinson County 53, GMC 46

            Wilkinson County wins the region consolation meeting.

Warren County vs. Hancock Central

Baseball

Burke County 12, Lamar County 2; Lumpkin County 3, Lamar County 2

            Nathaniel Tidwell had half of Lamar County’s wins in the opening loss. Both teams did the scoring in the second inning of the nightcap, the Trojans unable to take advantage of a one-hitter from Tidwell and Wyatt Walters. Cam King and Rhett Blount had two hits each for Lamar County.

East Coweta 8, Perry 7; Perry 5, Jones County 4

            The Panthers outhit East Coweta by three and stranded one less runner, but the EC took advantage of eight walks. Tyler Newhouse, Tanner Knowles, Carson Bryant, Ben McDow, and Brayden Long each had two hits for the Panthers., Bryant with three RBI and two extra-base hits. Perry stopped Jones County’s rally in the bottom of the seventh to win. Dylan Butler had three hits, with Bryant and McDow had two hits each, Bryant with three RBI, belting a homer in both games. Both teams stranded nine, and the Greyhounds were held to five hits.

Fellowship Christian 15, Jasper County 0

            The Hurricanes were no-hit on the road.

FPD 18, ELCA 3; Savannah Country Day 5, FPD 3

            FPD led SCD 1-0 after one, and it was tied at 3 after five, but the visitors scored two in the sixth to win. Blake Cohen had two hits and two RBI for the Vikings.

Houston County 10, Archer 0; Houston County 15, Archer 5

            The Bears needed 4.5 innings for the opening shutout, Ryker Chavis with six strikeouts and no hits or walks in five innings. Andrew Dunford and Garrett Hortman had two hits each, Hortman and Drew Burress with four RBI each. Houston County ended the nightcap early with one in the fifth. Burress againdrove in four runs, on two hits, while Dunford had four hits and two RBI. Elijah Smith and Eli Stephens had two-hit games, Stephens with three RBI.

Jones County 6, East Coweta 0

            Quin McManmon fanned six with a walk in 5.2 innings to lead the Greyhounds, Bo Mansfield finishing it. Jones County belted four extra-base hits, and was led by Aiden Payne and Drew Jones with two hits each, Kegan Bazter driving in two runs.

North Forsyth 17, Bleckley County 1

Tattnall 4, Trinity Christian-Sharpsburg 0; Tattnall 11, Dutchtown 3

            Benjamin Stuff struck out 16 in the complete-game opener. Game McGreggor and Wilton Bumgardner had two hits, Bumgardner three RBI. A six-run fourth clinched the second game for Tattnall.  McGreggor went four innings for the win. Stubbs, Riley McCallum, and DJ Willis had multi-hit games for the Trojans.
