ETSU is off a 44-21 win over VMI, Jacob Saylors going for 183 yards and three touchdowns on 29 carries.
Mercer and Samford are 3-0 and Chattanooga 2-0 in conference play. The Bears and Bulldogs are both 5-1 overall. ETSU is 1-3, in seventh place, and 3-3 overall.
The Bucs are third in the conference in scoring offense and defense, while the Bears are first and second. They’re 1-2 in pass defense.
ETSU leads the series 4-3, nipping the Bears 38-35 last year for the Southern Conference title.
