Henley off to rough start
A year ago, Russell Henley opened the golf season pretty well. This year, he’s home in Columbus early.
Henley shot a pair of 74s for a 4-over 148 at the Sanderson Farms Championship in Jackson, Miss., and missed the cut, which was 2 under.
He was joined by Rory Sabbatini, Jason Dufner, Harris English, and Vincent Norman, among others.
Henley had four bogeys and two double bogeys in two rounds. Oddly, the double bogeys were on the same hole, No. 16.
The fourth tournament of the season is the Shriners Children’s Open in Las Vegas, but Henley is sitting that one out. He finished tied for 21st last year after a 14-under in his first tournament of the season.
