Macon Touchdown Club honors players from Northeast, Westside, Mount de Sales, Jones County, Stratford, and FPD

Players of the week

Week of August 21

          Back: Northeast senior quarterback Travion Solomon completed 10 of 14 passing for 187 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 63 yards and score in the Raiders’ 33-28 upset over Jones County.

          Co-lineman: Westside junior defensive end Justin Walker compiled four tackles, six tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks and a fumble recovery for a touchdown in the 35-10 victory over Bradwell Institute.

          Co-Lineman: Mount de Sales senior linebacker Kobe Butts had 15 tackles, three tackles for loss and a sack the 17-7 victory over Jasper County.

Week of August 28

          Back: Jones County sophomore wideout Zion Ragins hauled in five receptions for 240 yards and two touchdowns to go with four carries and 29 yards in the Greyhounds’ 34-28 victory over North Gwinnett.

          Lineman: Stratford sophomore offensive tackle Eli Miscall graded out at 82 percent from his offensive tackle position and added two pancake blocks in the 47-7 win at George Walton.

          Special teams: Jones County senior kicker Evan West connected on two field goals, one from 50 yards, and had two punts pin North Gwinnett deep as well as two touchbacks and a touchdown-saving tackle in the win at North Gwinnett.

Week of September 4

          Co-back: FPD junior running back Griffin Green ran 26 times for 185 yards and three touchdowns in the win over Brookstone, adding three catches for 15 yards and a touchdown.

          Co-Back: Jones County senior quarterback John Alan Richter went 27 of 34 for 267 yards and three touchdowns, with another 42 yards on the ground in the loss to Veterans.

          Lineman: Jones County senior offensive lineman Grayson Dugger graded out at 87 percent, with two pancakes, against Veterans.

Week of September 10

          Back: Mount de Sales senior quarterback A'Khori Jones rushed 18 times for 273 yards and two scores and passed for 38 yards, accounting for 311 yards total offense in the 31-23 loss to Brookstone.

          Lineman: FPD senior linebacker Coleman Cauley accounted for 25 total tackles, including two for loss, in the Vikings loss at Aquinas on Friday.
