Henley rallies to make cut
Things weren’t looking good for Russell Henley, bogeys pushing him over the cut line at the Northern Trust, the first PGA playoff tournament.
After several quality tournaments, would he suddenly hit a wall?
He hit a groove, with four birdies – and a bogey – on his final six holes for an even-par today and to reach 2-under for the tournament.
Henley is tied for 57th, 10 shots behind leader Jon Rahm.
His first nine weren’t so hot: one birdie, one double bogey, and two bogeys, putting him three over. Having started on No. 10, he got rolling on his 12th hole to finish strong.
Henley tees off at 8:45 a.m., with Chris Kirk.
