          Both are filling some burly holes, but West Laurens will have some advantages simply being a bigger school.

          They’ve only played three times, so it’s not much of a rivalry in that regard. It can get there, Northside winning the first two 49-0 and 42-0 before Veterans won 17-7 last year. It’s a nifty first-game win.

          The Wildcats won’t be distracted by the distractions of the last year-plus, since the day Valdosta’s school board when crazy with hiring. But they’re without a chunk of players. The Demons should’ve won last year’s meeting at Wright-Bazemore, and appear to have mostly filled some big vacancies.
