Macon trailed, was tied a few times, lost the lead, but got two walks, a run-scoring single from Dondrae Bremner for the tie and one from Walker Jenkins for the lead in the regular-season finale in the eighth.
Robert Bennett took over pitching in the ninth and got Spartanburg out in order to preserve the win.
Ryan Leitch scored three times and Jenkins had two hits for the Bacon (15-26).
