Once again, an early led meant nothing for Macon, Savannah overcoming a 3-1 first-inning deficit with five in the third and five more in the seventh at Luther Williams to improve to 35-7 and drop Macon to 14-25.
Logan Fink (Tattnall) and Dondrae Bremner had two hits each for Macon, Le Bassett (Mercer) driving in two runs. Bill Knight (Mercer) had three hits and three RBI for the Bananas.
