Macon gives Savannah first loss, then gets no-hit
The momentum for Macon in giving Savannah its first loss of the Coastal Plain season didn’t last long.
The Bacon beat Savannah 5-4 in the first game at Luther Williams Field, and the Bananas came back and hammered the Bacon with a 9-0 no-hitter.
Savannah almost stayed unbeaten, trailing 5-1 after six. The Bananas scored three in the eighth to pull within one, and stranded the tying run at second, thanks to Isaiah Magwood getting three straight outs after the leadoff single.

In the regularly scheduled game, pitchers Ryan Kennedy, Cole Kitchen, and Jakob Barker teamed up for the seven-inning no-hitter, striking out 11 with two walks.
