Struggles return for Henley at Wells Fargo
All the work Russell Henley got done on Friday to make the cut at the Wells Fargo Classic in Charlotte pretty much went into the water on Saturday.
Henley shot his second 74 of the tournament and dropped into a tie for 68th with a 3-over 218.
The day started with a bogey, was followed with one three holes later. Henley settled down with five start pars, and then the wheels fell off the golf bag with two bogeys in the next three holes. Three birdies in a row were almost canceled by two bogeys to finish the round.
Henley has almost twice as many bogeys as birdies through three rounds, 11 to 6.
Henley is not in the field for the AT&T Byron Nelson in Texas.
