            The visitors popped the hosts early with two in the first, but the Bears took control with five in the third and sealed it with four in the fifth. Brodie Chestnutt fanned seven with three walks in the five-hitter. Coleman Willis belted a pair of homers and drove in three runs, Gage Harrelson and Drew Burress adding bombs as well. Harrelson had two hits and two RBI and Treyson Hughes three hits and two runs. Houston County led the nightcap 4-0 after four and put it away with five in the fifth. Willis had three hits, with two-hit games from Harrelson, Andrew Dunford, Burress, and Trent Ringer, who had three RBI. Willis fanned eight with two walks in a complete-game two-hitter.

Class 3A

Mary Persons 5, Harlem 2; Harlem 6, Mary Persons 2; Thursday

            Mary Persons tied it in the fourth, and eased away with one in the sixth and three in the seventh, the host grabbing one in the seventh only for Eric Snow to stop the rally in relief of Jaden Bankston for the save. Bankston had three hits and Snow and Thomas Brooks two each.

Class AA

Bleckley County 12, Putnam County 1; vs. Bremen

            The Royals led 4-1 through five and put it away with eight in the sixth, aided along the way by three errors. Brody Little belted a three-run home in the sixth, finishing with two hits and four RBI. Conner Senters had three hits and three RBI, Caleb Senters adding two hits and two runs. Conner Senters went five innings and J.R. Fordham one in the five-hitter.

Class A Public

ACE 10, Social Circle 3; ACE 13, Social Circle 3; vs. Claxton

            Lem Thompson went 3 for 4 in the opener with two RBI to lead the Gryphons, Fisher Timms throwing a complete game and striking out five with a walk. Blake Smith went 4 for 4 with four RBI and three runs in the nightcap, Zane Johnson driving in two runs on three hits. Chandler Mitchell, J.D. Lew8is, and Grant Edwards handled the pitching.

Schley County 11, Crawford County 1; Crawford County eliminated

            Schley County led 3-1 after four, then started the ending of the Eagles’ season with a pair of four-run innings. Crawford County was held to one hit.

Class A Private

Tattnall 13, Savannah Country Day 1; at  Mt. Paran, Monday

          Hunter Alexander drove in four runs on a 3-for-3 night to lead Tattnall, with Carter Fink, Benjamin Stubbs, and Clay Rowland teaming for a one-hitter. Fink whiffed seven with no walks in four innings.
