Big third and fourth innings made for a shorter game for the Gryphons, who got two-hit nights from Lem Thompson, Gavin West, Blake Smith, and Chandler Mitchell, West with a homer and Smith with two doubles, Mitchell driving in three runs. Sam Whitley needed only 47 pitches in four innings for a one-hitter.
Bleckley County 22, Washington County 0
A 16-run top of the fifth by Bleckley County shortened the game. Brody Little drove in five runs on three hits, and Willie Harris belted a grand slam, joined in the homer column by Little and J.R. Fordham. Fordham had three hits and Matthew Bland two, Matt Huff with three RBI and Bland and Caleb Senters with two each. Little gave up two hits in five innings.
Dodge County 3, Jasper County/Monticello 0
Landin Crummey gave up two hits in the complete-game shutout.
Jones County 20, Woodland 3
Five errors led to 12 unearned runs, and the Greyhounds rolled in four. Aiden Payne, Tucker Mix, and Dawson Harris each had two hits for Jones County, Mix and Conner Bass with four RBI – on a slam - and Trent Hardy with three.
Perry 23, Rutland 0
The Panthers put up a dozen in the first and ended it in three innings. Will Johnson, Carson Bryant, Christian Fletcher, Carson Mashburn, and Garrett Martin had two hits each for Perry, with two RBI from Johnson, Tyler Newhouse, Bryant, Brown, and Fletcher. Five errors helped lead to 16 unearned runs. Daniel Vandivear and Ethan Bearden teamed for the three-inning one-hitter.
