Russell Henley got off to a good start on the first nine, but the back nine weren’t as nice.
Still, the Stratford grad shot a 2-under 69 and sits in a tie for 35th after a round of the RBC Heritage in Hilton Head.
Cameron Smith is off to a big start with a 9-under 62 for the lead.
Henley had three birdies on the first nine – he started on No. 10 – but two second-nine birdies were countered by three bogeys.
He gets an early start on Friday with a 7 a.m. tee time on No. 1 with Matthew NeSmith and Christiaan Bezuidenhout.
