ACE 3, Crawford County 1

          The Gryphons patched together a two singles (Lem Thompson and JD Lewis), a double (Blake Smith), walk, fielder’s choice, passed ball, and another single (Fisher Timms) to overcome a 1-0 deficit in the third. Chandler Mitchell went six innings for ACE and struck out 10 with three walks and four hits. Timms got the save. Brennen Hudson and Levi Hammock had two hits each for the Eagles.

Coffee 5, Warner Robins 4; Coffee 15, Warner Robins 0

Houston County 4, Whitewater 3

          The Bears took a 4-2 lead in the third, watched the visitors get a run in the fifth, but the Houston County bullpen gave up only a walk in the final two innings to seal it. Gage Harrelson led the small-ball attack with two hits and threw an inning of relief. Trent Ringer got the win and Brodie Chestnutt the save.

Jasper County 6, Lamar County 4

          The Purple Hurricanes led 3-0, then 5-3, aided by four errors and three unearned runs. Tristan Humphries drove in three runs for the Purple Hurricanes.

John Milledge 7, Westfield 6

Jones County 6, Stockbridge 2

          The hosts got all they needed with a pair of two-run innings to get going. Tucker Mix drove in three runs for the Greyhounds, who had jst three hits but drew six walks. Landon Califf fanned six with a walk and four hits in five innings.

Northeast 12, Southwest 3

Peach County 14, Americus-Sumter 1

          The Trojans did the damage in three innings, and on just six hits, thanks to five errors and eight unearned runs. Bryce Harrelson and Ke’Andre Towns teamed for nine strikeouts, two hits, and two walks. Colter Ginn led Peach County with two hits and three RBI

Strong Rock 5, Stratford 4

          Strong Rock scored three in the top of the seventh for the lead and held Stratford’s rally to a run in the bottom half. The Eagles, who gave up three unearned runs on four errors, got two-hit games from Waldon Davis, Micah Takac, Stetson Hatcher, and Lawson Cole, doubling up Strong Rock in hits.

Wayne County 9, Veterans 1; Wayne County 6, Veterans 5

          Wayne County led 7-1 after four in the opener. Al Lorenzo had two hits for the Warhawks. Veterans scored three in the first inning of the nightcap and led 4-0 before Wayne County put up six in the fourth. The Warhawks got one back in the fifth, but were retired in order in the final two innings. Lorenzo had two hits to go with Jarrett Pierce’s three hits.

          The Titans fell in the GCAA Region 17 semifinals, despite leading 31-24 at halftime and 45-41 with 11 minutes left in the game. The Titans fell to 12-10.
