Georgia College men left out of NCAAs
A home loss to Georgia Southwestern in its only Peach Belt Conference Tournament game was enough to end the season of the Georgia College men’s basketball team.
The Bobcats didn’t get an at-large bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament, which released the field Sunday night.
The Peach Belt has only champ Flagler and runner-up Georgia Southwestern in the tournament. Flagler is the top seed in the South Regional, to be hosted by Valdosta State, while GSW is a sixth seed and faces third seed Lee.
Alabama Huntsville, Emmanuel, and West Georgia were among those getting at-large spots. Such bids went to five teams that played 10 games or less. The Bobcats finish 10-3.
