Alumni Update

Upson-Leeā€™s Fagan in the transfer portal

Tye Fagan, who led Upson-Lee to consecutive state 4A titles, has entered the college basketball transfer portal.

Fagan just completed his junior season at Georgia, playing in 26 games and starting all but one. In three seasons, he has started 28 times and played in 89 games, averaging 14.7 minutes, 5.1 points, .8 assists, 2.4 rebounds, and shot 56.4 percent from the floor but only 27.9 percent from three.

But he was inconsistent this year, despite playing more thn in his first two years. He had six games of at least 15 points, but another six of five points or less, and only 14 points total in the final three games.

He had the most experience other than graduate transfers P.J. Horn, Andrew Garcia, and Justin Kier.

Fagan joins another Central Georgian, Mary Personsā€™ grad Cam Holden, who just finished his first season at Tennessee-Martin and announced his move earlier this month.

Fagan is the 11th player to seek a transfer under Tom Crean.
