Three runs in the first were all the Royals needed, thanks in part to five Crawford County errors. Brody Little had three of Bleckley Countyâs eight hits, and Dawson Chapman scored three times. Levi Hammock had two hits for the Eagles. Eli Mullis and Conner Senters teamed for a five-hitter with nine strikeouts and six walks.
Central 7, GMC 3
Central survived four errors, and sealed it with five runs in the sixth.
Jasper County/Monticello 9, Baldwin 0
The Canes led 3-0 after two and blew it open with four in the sixth, helped along the way by four errors and three earned runs. Hunter Hayes fanned nine with four walks and a hit in 5.1 innings and Trent Maddox finished things off. Ethan Lynch had three hits for Jasper County, with Maddox and Barton adding two each, Barton with two RBI.
Mary Persons 10, Eagleâs Landing 0
Eric Snow had two hits, RBI, and runs from the leadoff spot for the 7-1 Bulldogs, who combined only six hits with five walks and three Eagleâs Landing errors, and three triples. Thomas Willingham threw a five-inning four-hitter, striking out three with no walks.

Fromm earns raves in weird year with Bills, ready for competition
FPDâs Moore wins SoCon hurdles title
Former FPD track standout Titus Moore is the Southern Conference indoor 60-meter hurdles champ.
He ran a 7.93 over the weekend to help the Samford menâs team win the conference indoor title at the meet in Lexington, Va., home to VMI. He also ran 7.93 and 6.99 and 7.02 in earlier heats.
The NCAA indoor championships are March 11-13 at Arkansas, with the outdoor season to start a week later.
