The homestanding Trojans cruised to the region tournament championship, enhancing a 39-16 halftime lead.

Veterans 79, Warner Robins 75, OT
The Warhawks’ DeAngelo Hines hit a 3 at the buzzer to force overtime, and he sealed it with two free throws in the final seconds to keep Veterans undefeated and give the Warhawks their first region championship in program history. In the process, Veterans broke Warner Robins’ seven-year stranglehold on the trophy. Hines finished with 25 points, TJ Grant 20, Aaron Jones 16, and Tajh Williams 12 for the 21-0 Warhawks.

The win gives Westfield third in the region tournament.

Senior Landin Crummey was sharp in throwing a three-hit shutout.
Houston County 17, Walton 3
The Bears finished things in five innings, with a pair of seven-run innings, pounding out 20 hits and giving up only three. Gage Harrelson, Coleman Willis, Christian Davis, and E.J. Lewis each had three hits, Harrelson driving in three runs along with Treyson Hughes. Davis drove in two runs, as did Andrew Dunford and Willis. Willis and Eli Sikes did most of the pitching, teaming for seven strikeouts and five walks against only three hits.
Tattnall 6, Holy Innocents 4
Apparently anxious to get going, Tattnall put up five in the first and then held off an HI rally – four in the fourth – to win. Carter Fink drove in two runs with a homer and D.J. Willis scored twice for the Trojans, Bo Hatcher and Carter Fink splitting the pitching duties and fanning 11 with four walks.

Jordyn Krieg scored twice for the Royals, Aniston Dowdy and Harlie Corner with goals, and Dowdy and Mishayla Brown with assists.
B-Jasper County/Monticello 3, Bleckley County 2
Tanner Filion got both of the Royals’ goals.
