GHSA traditional wrestling state tournament: Dodge County's Powers alive for state title (full Class AA and A results)

Nearly 20 Central Georgia wrestlers are still alive after the first day of the GHSA traditional wrestling state meet at the Macon Coliseum.
Classifications are spread out all week, with Class AA and A going on Tuesday, through the semifinals and round three wrestlebacks.
Dodge County’s Landynn Powers in Class AA 285 is the only Central Georgia competitor still undefeated and in the hunt for a state title.
Lamar County’s Levi Banks (145) and Christian Bostic (195) advanced with wins and lost in semifinals, each to a wrestler from Vidalia. That’s where Grady Tisdale of Tattnall finished as well, with a semifinal loss in Class A at 160. They’ll await consolation matches and then have the chance to wrestle for third with a win.
Still alive in AA: Dodge County’s Jonathan Grayer (170) and Joah Gay (182); East Laurens’ Palmer Davenport (220) and Kaleb Cannon (285); Jasper County/Monticello’s Tristen Light (220); Lamar County’s Hunter Hammock (113), Chas Hammock (152), Cayden Sloan (160); Northeast’s Jarrdarrious Goolsby (120).
And in A: Dublin’s Menelyk Madison (160), and Angel Cardenas (170); FPD’s Griffin Green (170) and Ethan Wilson (182); GMC’s Hudson Caldwell (195).
All have a chance for third place.
In AA and A, no Central Georgia teams are anywhere near contending, but three AA teams are in the top 20: Lamar County is 12th, with East Laurens 19th and Dodge County tied for 20th.
Class AAA and female wrestlers go on Wednesday, with AA and A consolation quarters, semis, and championship finals in the evening starting at 7 p.m.
Class 4A goes Thursday morning and Class 6A in the afternoon, with 3A and girls in the evening with consolations and finals. Class 5A is Friday morning and 7A in the afternoon, with 4A and 6A in the evening with consolations and finals.
Saturday, Classes 5A and 7A finish up, starting at 9 a.m.
