Four seeds battled through the main draw to reach Saturday’s semifinals of the Mercer Tennis Classic at John Drew Smith Tennis Center.
Fourth seed Maia Haddad will be rested, having played only three games before fifth seed Renata Zarazua had to retire. Haddad will play second seed Zarina Diyas, while top seed Madison Brengle gets seventh seed Xiyu Wang, who needed a tiebreaker to get past wild card Catherine Harrison.
The doubles finals pits Alycia Parks and Alana Smith against Quinn Gleason and Catherine Harrison.
