Macon Touchdown Club honors an FPD Viking and a pair of Jones County Greyhounds
A wild overtime win and an impressive shutout at the home of an unbeaten team led to Macon Touchdown Club honors for an FPD VIking and a couple Jones County Greyhounds.
Back of the week: Jones County senior quarterback John Alan Richter completed 29 of 37 passes for 307 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran 6 times for 37 yards and a TD, while catching the game-tying two-point conversion pass to force overtime in the 48-42 OT win over Ola.
Lineman of the Week: FPD senior linebacker Coleman Cauley racked up 16 tackles while also forcing a fumble on a punt in the Vikings 20-0 shutout of unbeaten Tattnall.
Special Teams Player of the Week: Jones County senior kicker Evan West was perfect on four field goal tries, all from between 32 and 44 yards. He had two kickoff touchbacks, averaged 49 yards a punt, and had a touchdown-saving tackle on a kickoff in the win over Ola.
