Different day, same result for Bananas and Bacon
Macon scored one more run than a night before, but it was nowhere near enough in losing 8-3 to Savannah on Wednesday.
The Bananas put it away with six in the sixth.
Kole Kaler and Georgia College’s Noah Mendlinger had two hits each for Macon. Mercer’s Bill Knight had two hits for the Bananas, whose pitchers had 12 strikeouts to three walks.
Macon hosts Lexington County on Thursday.
