Henley finishes the season in the top 25 at BMW

Bogeys late on the front nine dropped Russell Henley from contention at the BMW Championship, and despite more hiccups on the back nine, he finished tied for 25th.

He finished three over for the day for a six-over 286 for the second round of the FedEx playoffs.

His FedEx ranking dropped to 56th, 26 spots from moving on to the championship at East Lake in Atlanta. Nevertheless, Henley is ranked ahead of Jason Day, Matt Kuchar, Tiger Woods, Louis Oosthuizen, Charles Howell III, and Phil Mickelson, among others.

Henley had three bogeys and a double bogey countered by only two birdies. Still, he was only 10 shots from the top.

Jon Rahm beat Dustin Johnson in a playoff.
