            Ryan Barsby needed only 89 pitches to strike out 18 and hurl a no-hitter for the Bulldogs. Barsby, who scored twice, walked only one. Trey Woods had four hits and Caleb Haines a grand slam to power GMC, which got two hits from Justin Alford and Cody Beckham.

Houston County 8, Veterans 0

            A five-run sixth put it away for the host Bears, boosted by a staff two-hitter from Brodie Chestnutt, Colman Willis, and Trent Ringer, Chestnutt and Willis teaming for nine strikeouts and no walks in six innings. Andrew Dunford had three hits and Treyson Hughes two RBI for Houston County.

Jackson 12, Monticello 4

            Jackson scored nine runs in the fifth and sixth innings to take the game, outhitting Monticello by 10 but also having two more errors.

Mary Persons 5, Jones County 4

            The Bulldogs watched a 3-0 lead after one turn into a tie game, but matched the Greyhounds’ run in the sixth to win. CJ Whitehead fanned five with a walk in six innings for the Greyhounds, while Trippe Moore countered with 10 strikeouts and no walks. Moore, Eric Snow, Nate Howard had two hits each for the Bulldogs.

Mount de Sales 10, Washington County 4

            Two-hit games from Landon Jernigan, Rossman Diaz, Jackson Taylor paced the Cavs, Jernigan and Drew Senn driving in two each. Jackson Lanthrip had two hits for the Golden Hawks, doomed by giving up consecutive five-run innins in the fourth and fifth and suffering four errors.

Northside 4, Perry 2

            An RBI double from Deonte Lowe and run-scoring sacrifice from Doug Sapp gave Northside two in the sixth for the win. Levi Walker had two hits for the Eagles, who got a two-hitter from Walker in five innings and three strikeouts in two innings from Tyler Wilson.

Telfair County 22,Dublin 1

West Laurens 8, Bleckley County 3

            The Raiders countered the Royals’ two in the top of the fifth with four in the bottom to take control. Bradley Wilson had three hits and Colton Scott two RBI for the Raiders. Steven Knighton and Matthew Bland had two hits each for the Royals.
