The Trojans led 1-0 after one, but a four-run fourth put Cambridge in control of a game in which both teams had five hits. Hunter Alexander had two for the Trojans. Two runs in the top of the seventh lifted Tattnall in the second game and avoided wasting 10 hits. Konner Toth’s two-out single brought in Benjamin Stubbs and Alexander, and then starter Dawson Brown retired Etowah in order in the bottom half.

Houston County 2, Eastside 1; Houston County 2, Eastside 1
The Bears held off Eastside’s seventh inning rally in the opener – winning despite more errors (three) than hits (two) – and rallied in the bottom of the seventh to win the nightcap. Houston County scored two in the third, and Eastside got on in the seventh, but Coleman Willis ended it with no more damage, following a 12-strikeout, six-inning game from Jaden Woods. In the nightcap, the Bears pieced together a single, walk, sacrifice, single, walk, and sacrifice fly to win, E.J. Lewis with an RBI single and Jacob Profit with the walk-off sac fly. Brodie Chestnut whiffed seven with a walk in the complete-game win.

The Huskies got two-hit games from Win Davidson, Andrew Garnett, Scott Campbell, and Caden Hodge, Davidson driving in three runs. Garnett went five with seven strikeouts.
Perry 13, Jones County 0; Jones County 4, Perry 3
The Panthers put a dozen up in the third inning of the opener, scoring 13 on seven hits, thanks to seven walks. Tanner Knowles drove in four runs with two hits for Perry. The Greyhounds got revenge in the nightcap, boosted by a four-run first and surviving four errors. Knowles and Jackson Nipper had two hits each for the Panthers, who outhit the Greyhounds by two.
Stratford 14, Lamar County 1; Athens Academy 8, Stratford 1
Stratford led Lamar County 4-1 after four and put it away with a pair of late five-run innings, aided by seven Trojan errors and six unearned runs. Lawson Cole struck out 15 with no walks, Cooper Baskette driving in three runs with two hits. The Eagles drew 11 walks along the way. Athens pitching kept Stratford bats from coming through in the second game, the Eagles outhit by only one and leaving seven on. Waldon Davis, Stetson Hatcher, and Will Baxley had two hits each for Stratford.
