            Trippe Moore had two doubles and four RBI to lead the Bulldogs, who got three-hit pitching from a group of four arms. Thomas Willingham struck out four in four innings.  Conner Watson added two hits for Mary Persons, to go with the final inning on the mound.

Mount de Sales 3, Monticello 1

            Jackson Nebel and Drew Senn combined for nine strikeouts. The Cavs were outhit by two, but won behind pitching. Tyler Wages had two hits for the Hurricanes, who suffered five errors.

Stratford 4, Hawkinsville 3

            The Eagles survived two more errors and two fewer hits, boosted by Micah Takac’s eight-strikeout performance in six innings. The Eagles won it with two in the bottom of the seventh – after Hawkinsville took the lead in the top half – on Lawson Cole’s leadoff double, followed by a walk, error, walk, and wild pitch.

Tattnall 17, Greater Gwinnett Christian 0

            Nine walks and three homers somehow combined for 17 runs for the Trojans in the shortened game. Russ Miller, Brooks Gorman, and Dawson Brown belted bombs – Brown on the first pitch of the half-inning - and Gorman fanned five in two innings.
