          The Bears were down a bucket when they inbounded the ball with less than four seconds left. H.B. Morgan took the pass, dribbled downcourt and let loose an on-the-money 25-footer a hair before the buzzer for the game-winner. Valdosta, and former Upson-Lee head coach Darrell Lockhart, fell to 20-3 and 5-2, the Bears improving to 3-5 in region play.

          The Knights won their 10th straight and clinched the top seed in the region tournament in the first season under head coach Christopher Owens.

          The Warhawks’ dream season continued with another romp, DeAngelo Hines leading the way with 22 points. Horace Johnson added 16, Jalyn Williams and Julius Herrington 12 each. Veterans is 23-2 overall.

Warner Robins 80, Thomas County Central 30

          Senior night was easy for the Demons (19-4), who led 40-9 at halftime after holding TCC to two second-quarter points. Fifteen Demons scored, and six hit 3-pointer.

Washington County 50, Dublin 35

          The Golden Hawks were mighty solid in dumping the region rival to improve to 16-6 and 11-1, tying Dublin but losing the region tournament seeding coin flip and getting the second seed. Jarden Maze had the double-double for Washington County with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Caleb Moore added nine points and seven boards.
