Two-hit nights from Aleigha Evans, Kryssi Maddox, and Kayla Johnson led the Eagles, Rylie Youngblood and Mary Kathryn Mason driving in two runs each.
Mary Persons 8, Jackson 6
The Bulldogs watched the Red Devils put up four in the bottom of the sixth for a 6-5 lead, but answered with three in the top half of the seventh and retired Jackson in order in the bottom. Alissa Rozier and Nazari Jackson went 6 for 6 atop the lineup, with six runs and three RBI.
Northside 7, Warner Robins 0
The Eagles host Houston County Wednesday in the regular-season finale.
Toombs County 11, East Laurens 3
Eight errors and eight unearned runs did in the Falcons, who got three hits from Kristen Hubbard.
Veterans 7, ACE 3
The Warhawks had a shutout for five innings, winning despite being outhit by one. Allie Eidson and Olivia Brown had two hits each and Madison Bunnell two RBI for Veterans, while Lizzy Mitchell went 4 for 4 for ACE.
Westfield 3, Briarwood 0
Pitching and small-ball led the way for the Hornets in winning their fourth straight region title. Emma Williams and Sydney Langdon teamed for a two-hitter, with actually two more walks than strikeouts. All three runs were unearned.
West Laurens 5, Rutland 4; Rutland 6, West Laurens 3
The teams traded three-run innings, but the Raiders got the winner in the fifth, surviving three errors. Caroline Pollock had two hit and two RBI for WL, matched by Amber Summerday of Rutland, which also got two hits from Keely Bryant in stranding nine runners. The Hurricanes got all they needed in the nightcap in the fourth. Kaitlyn Greene, Kinleigh King, Alexis Hollis, and Ciara Passmore had two hits each, Hollis with three RBI.

Weather worries lead to schedule changes
Concern about weather – about a 50 percent chance of rain, kickoff temps in the mid-70s - has led to some schedule changes this week.
East Laurens’ homecoming game this week against GMC has been postponed, and GMC picked up a game instead with neighbor John Hancock, a GAPPS program, in Sparta.
Bleckley County’s home game with Bleckley County is moved to Thursday, along with Wheeler County at Hawkinsville.
Down the line: Dublin-Hawkinsville to Saturday, Oct. 17, at 3:30 p.m.; GMC at Wilkinson County to Thursday, Oct. 15, 7 p.m.
