The Bears stormed out in the opener with runs in the first four innings of the 4.5-inning game, aided by four Glynn errors and eight unearned runs. Alice Thomas had two hits and three runs, Kendall Huelsman two hits and two runs, and Bobbi Poff three RBI to back up Ally Fleming’s two-hitter. Glynn got the walkoff no-out RBI double in the seventh of the nightcap, in which the teams combined for 21 hits and 14 LOBs. Averi Martin, Poff, Abbie Havard, and Elena Olson had two hits each for the Bears.

Pierce County threw a one-hitter, and got just enough in the third in the opener. Pierce County’s six-run third was countered by four from Upson-Lee in the fourth, but a three-run sixth did in the Knights. Madison Murphy had two hits and four RBI for the Knights.
Class AA
Cook (R1/2) 3, Bleckley County (R3/1) 2; Bleckley County 14, Cook 4
Cook won the opener with two in the fifth, and held on. Clara Rickerson had three of Bleckley County’s seven hits. The Royals were scoreless in the first inning of the nightcap, and then put at least two runs up in four of the next five innings, helped along the way by eight Cook errors. Elisia Vickers had three hits and two RBI, and Addisyn Keel three hits and two runs. The Royals got two hits from Trinity Glover, Rebecca Bowling, Reagan Wimberly, and Riley Haley. Keel struck out six with a walk.

A three-run fifth put Stratford in charge in the opener. Abby Griffin had three hits and Taylor Justice three RBI. The offense woke up late in the nightcap, but Kenna McElmurray was in control en route to a one-hitter. The Eagles broke a 0-0 shutout with two in the fourth, and two in the fifth and three in the sixth. Griffin went 4 for 4, Shelby Bandt had three hits, McElmurray two hits and two RBI, and Shorter McCook two hits and two runs. Haley Grace Cole added two RBI.

The Bears were up 16-0 after two in the three-inning opener, a Ally Fleming striking out six of the nine batters she faced. Kendall Huelsman had two hits, Averi Martin three RBI and two runs and Jocelyn Ross two RBI in the opener. It was 20-1 after two in the three-inning nightcap, the Bears needing only eight hits, thanks to four errors and 16 walks. Martin had three hits and three runs, Abbie Havard two hits and two RBI, and Makayla Krepps two RBI.

The Eagles scored in every inning in the opener, a five-inning game. Madelyne Lee had three hits and three runs, and Kyle Ussery drove in four runs on three hits. Celena Luna fanned 11 in the two-hitter. A 10-run third ended it in the top of the fourth. Northside needed only four hits, thanks to 11 walks. Lee and Ussery had two RBI.

Rutland’s Taylor Stewart and Amber Summerday had quality pitching numbers – six strikeouts, one walk, and five hits – but Cairo made the most of what they got on offense and kept the Rutland bats in check. Rutland pulled within 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, and then left runners on second and third in the bottom of the seventh, two of the eight the Hurricanes stranded. Keely Bryant had two of Rutland’s seven hits.
(Monday) Cairo led 3-2 after one, and the Hurricanes barged ahead with four in the third only for the Syrupmakers to double that in the fourth. Kinleigh King had three RBI and Kaitlyn Greene scored twice, Rutland stranding seven runners. Rutland’s three in the fourth won the second-game pitchers dual. King had two of Rutland’s six hits, and Amber Summerday went four in relief – two hits, six strikeouts, no walks – for the win.

The Panthers struggled with the bat and glove, with five errors and being held to two hits. Half of TCC’s runs were unearned as it matched the score of the first-game win Monday.
(Monday) TCC had three straight two-run innings to start in the opener, and was aided by a rough three-error game from Perry. Reagan Stella bounced back to give Perry a shutout win, thanks in part to three TCC errors. Carsen Garner had three hits from the eighth spot, and AliRae Dykes scored twice for the Panthers, who took a 2-0 lead after one.

Darci Dillard drilled a walkoff two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth in the opener. Trinity Glover belted a grand slam and a two-run homer. Bleckley County’s 6-2 lead after two became a 9-8 deficit after fifth, the Royals tying it in the sixth on Clara Rickerson’s RBI single. The teams exchanged runs in the eighth, and Bacon County stranded a one-out single in the top of the ninth. Keel walked to open the bottom half, and Dillard greeted a pitching change after a pitch with the walkoff. Rickerson had three hits, and Riley Haley got the win with final-inning relief. Rebecca Bowling and Addisyn Keel had three hits each, Bowling six RBI, to back the five-hit pitching of Haley in the nightcap.

Baconton’s five-run fifth won the opener, despite two-hit games from Makayla Edwards, Sam Lancaster, and Gracie Collins, and two RBI from Katelyn Newman. Five Baconton runs were unearned, thanks to three errors. The Red Devils almost bounced back in the nightcap, turning in a huge four-run rally – keyed by a two-run double from Jenni Murkerson - in the bottom of the seventh to tie it. Baconton got a two-out triple in the eighth and then a single to left, and the Red Devils stranded a one-out single in the bottom half. Edwards and Murkeson had three hits each, Savannah Dokey and Keeli Newman two each.

Gracie James had two hits and RBI for Taylor County in the opener. The Vikings took a 3-1 first-inning lead that Social Circle countered with runs in the next four innings, helped by five Viking errors and six unearned runs. Ginny Deloach went 4 for 4 with two RBI for Taylor County, wich got three hits from Calli Duncan and two from Caroline Albritton.

The Eagles took a 4-0 lead in the first, but Trion took care of that with six in the fifth, adding insurance in the seventh. The Eagles had four errors that led to six unearned runs, and walked seven batters. Rylie Youngblood and Bailey Carreker had two hits each for the Eagles, Carreker with a homer.

The opener lasted 2.5 innings, thanks to two-hit games from Kaitlyn Hallman, Kaci Paul, Lindsey Paul, Martha Kate Gillis, and Olivia Bridger, and three RBI from Hallman and Paul, plus two from Grace Hiller, Caroline Patterson, and Gillis. The nightcap took all of four innings, with Galloway going hitless against Isabelle Pecorilli. Ana Land had two hits and Hailey Daughtry four RBI, three on a third-inning homer.
