Jordyn Partain threw a perfect game, with 10 strikeouts – reaching the 600-strikeout mark for her career - on 84 pitches as the Cavs won the region title. She also belted a homer in the second.

The Hurricanes spread out the small-ball work with seven different hitters and four different RBI-producers. Taylor Stewart went two and Amber Summerday five, Summerday with six strikeouts and the win.
