Hughes needed 47 points for the four-inning two-hit win.

A nine-run fifth ended it for the Eagles, who outhit the Gryphons by six. Mary Elaine Mitchell had three hits and three run plus two RBI. T Martin had two hits and three RBI for ACE.
Tattnall 2, Mount de Sales 1
Neither of Tattnall’s runs were unearned, thanks to some of Mount de Sales’ five errors. Of course, the Cavs’ run was unearned, too. Two errors in short order and a wild pitch led to Kaitlyn Hallman scoring the winning run in the top of the fourth for Tattnall. MdS had plenty of runners, except in the 1-2-3 seventh, and stranded seven. Kenna Epps went the distance for the win, with six strikeouts and three walk, and Jordyn Partain took the loss despite five strikeouts against one walk.
