Worth County 24, Rutland 22

          Rutland led 14-6 at halftime, but the visitors pulled ahead in the third. Worth County extended the lead to 10 about four minutes into the fourth quarter, and the Hurricanes cut it to two points in the final 90 seconds, but that was it.

Crawford County 10, Brookstone 2

          Riley Scaggs and Kryssi Maddox had three hits each, Maddox with two RBI and two runs and Scaggs with four runs. Kennadi Rozier drove in three runs on two hits, Jaimee Hudson adding two hits and and two runs. Scaggs went six innings, striking out seven with four walks and four hits.

GMC 15, Lincoln County 3

          The Bulldogs made it a five-inning game with four in the first and six in the fourth, helped by six Lincoln County errors. Makenna Talcott, Jordan Spear, Mary Katherine Lawrence, Bella Herring, and Kyra Dobler had two its each for the Bulldogs, Talcott with three runs and two RBI, and Mallory Watts adding two RBI. Lea Jannokos whiffed 10 with a walk for the win.

Houston County 17, Valdosta 0; Houston County 15, Valdosta 0

          The Bears improved to 20-2 overall and 7-0 in 1-6A with the dominant day. A dozen runs in the first inning took care of the three-inning opener, as did nine Valdosta errors leading to 13 unearned runs. Rylee Lamb fanned four in a one-hitter. Averi Martin had three hits and two RBI, while Madi Campbell, Ansley Garland, Lamb, and Bobbi Poff had two hits each. The three-inning second game went fast with Olivia Brown striking out eight with a walk and three hits. Jocelyn Ross, Kaylee Wilson, and Ellen Olson had two hits each, with two-RBI nights from Carley Rollins and Olson.

Howard 7, Mary Persons 4

          Kayla Roberts had two runs and two hits, while Karli Buchanan and Abby Mitchell drove in two runs each, Buchanan scoring three times and Roberts twice for the Huskies. Megan Sharpe went all seven, needing only 65 pitches, with a strikeout and walk in a seven-hitter.

John Milledge 10, Loganville Christian 0

          A five-run fourth put it away for the Trojans, who got a 3-for-3 night from Madison Brown. Olivia Rhodes, Brayden Latimer, Cadence Bandows, and Ashley Tyson had two hits each, Ella Hudgins driving in two runs. Latimer whiffed 12 with a walk in the five-inning complete game.

Jackson 13, Peach County 5

          Nine in the first combined with nine Peach County errors in the five-inning game led to Jackson’s win, although the hosts had five errors of their own.

Lee County 12, Northside 0

          Northside was held to a hit and committed eight errors, leading to seven unearned runs.

Mount de Sales 9, FPD 0

          The Cavs sealed it with four in the third and three in the fourth. Jordyn Partain had three hits and threw the five-inning two-hit complete game, with 10 strikeouts and four walks. Emma Carter had two hits and two RBI, Ava DellaDonna driving n two runs.

Perry 6, West Laurens 1

          Each team had nine hits, but West Laurens gave up six walk and drew none. Raegan Stella and Abby Ussery had two hits each for the Panthers, Harley Crumley with two RBI. Madison Homen went the distance, striking out three with no walks. Hudson Smith and MaKayla Register had two hits each for West Laurens.,

Piedmont 11, LaGrange 5

Robert Toombs 17, Twiggs Academy 0

Rutland 2, Pike County 0

          Two singles and a one-out walk loaded the bases before a groundout by Ciara Passmore brought in one run in the second and Kinleight King scoring on an error a batter later. Taylor Stewart and Amber Summerday had two hits each for Rutland, Bailey Caldwell fanning three with one hit in the complete game, needing only 59 pitches.

Schley County 11, Hawkinsville 3

          The Red Devils were down 5-0 after one. Mary Claire Daniell drove in two for the Red Devils, held to seven hits.

Upson-Lee 6, Spalding 4

Westfield 11, Tiftarea 8

          The Hornets got five in the second and four in the fourth to hold on. Sadie Hayes and Emma Williams had three hits each, with Ellie Williams, Marena Knowles, and Brooke Corlee adding two hits. Sydney Langson drove in three on a homer in the fourth.
