          The visitors got a leadoff homer in the top of the eighth, and then three straight outs after a leadoff double in Veterans’ bottom half. Jenna Thomas had three hits from the leadoff spot for Veterans, which got an eight-strikeout, two-walk night from Emily Myers.

Hawkinsville 8, Crawford County 3

          The Red Devils put it away with a six-run sixth, needing only four hits, thanks to nine walks. Kirsten Wolters drove in three runs for Hawkinsville, overshadowing Kryssi Maddox’s three hits for Crawford County.

Houston County 12, Northside 0

          The rivalry went to the Bears, who put up five in the second and seven in the fourth. Rylee Lamb threw a two-strikeout, one-walk three-hitter in four innings, boosted by two-hit nights from Alice Thomas, Madi Campbell, Averi Martin, and Bobbi Poff. Thomas, Makayla Krepps, Ansley Garland and Olive Brown drove in two runs each.

John Milledge 7, Bethlehem Christian 3

          Brayden Latimer led JMA – which clinched it with four in the fifth – with two hits and two RBI. She further dominated with 11 strikeouts and a walk in seven innings, on 110 pitches, for the win.

Jones County 17, Union Grove 13

          The rock ‘em/sock ‘em game came down to Jones County’s four-run ninth. Kloey Goins and Makinsey Long had four hits each for the Greyhounds, Goins scoring five times and Long driving in three runs to go with scoring two. Mackenzie Kilpatrick and Destin Howard had two hits and three runs each. Madison Bennett added two hits and two runs.

Mount de Sales 12, FPD 2

          MdS led 9-2 after two in the 4.5-inning game. Ava DellaDonna had three hits and four RBI to lead MdS, McKenna Smith, Jordyn Partain added two hits and three runs each. Chloe Nepveaux struck out eight with a walk and three hits in the five-inning complete game.

Peach County 15, Kendrick 0

          The Trojans put up 14 in the first two of the three innings, aided by five errors and seven unearned runs. Keeleigh Jones and Audrey Lewis had two hits each for Peach County, which needed only six hits.

Perry 9, Upson-Lee 1

          The Knights were outhit by five and gave up four unearned runs on four errors, trailing 7-0 after two. Raegan Stella had three hits and Abby Ussery three RBI for Perry, AliRae Dykes and Reagan Hughes with two hits each. Becca Graham had two hits for Upson-Lee, handcuffed for five innings by Madison Homen.

Pike County 24, Westside 1

Rabun County 11, Monticello 2

          Allie Jones and Bailey Jenkins had two hits each for Monticello, which was in a 4-1 hole after one.

Rutland 8, Jackson 0

          The Hurricanes’ region win was sparked by a 3-for-3 night from Bailey Caldwell, who drove in three runs. Amber Summerday and Kaitlyn Greene added two hits each. Caldwell sat down nine Jackson batters with three hits and no walks.

Schley 11, Taylor County 1

Spalding 9, Howard 6

          Four errors and six unearned runs doomed Howard, which was led by Elle Doolittle’s three hits and Kayla Roberts two hits.

Stratford 9, Tattnall 4

          The Eagles got enough with three in the second and two in the third. Nadia Reese and Paige Gray had two hits each for Stratford, with two RBI from Kenna McElmurray, Haley Grace Cole and Shelby Bandt. Kenna Epps had two hits and two RBI for Tattnall, Epps with the loss and McElmurray the win.

Thomson 20, Baldwin 1

Twiggs Academy 19, David Emanuel 16

Westfield 10, Tiftarea 1

          Six in the fourth put the Hornets in control, both teams with four errors. Emma Williams had a huge night with four hits, three RBI, and three runs. Avery Adams, Sydney Langdon, and Brooke Corlee added two hits each. Langdon whiffed seven with no walks and two hits in five innings.
