Crawford County 15, Manchester 0

          The Eagles needed three innings, getting a four-strikeout two-hitter from Maddie Johnson. Jaydyn Rogers and Breanna Watts had two hits each, while Avary Youngblood and Johnson had two RBI each.   

Houston County 1, Ola 0

          Makayla Krepps opened the sixth with a single, and came around on a hit-and-run on Kendall Huelsman’s double to left for the win. Lefty Olivia Brown gave up a sixth-inning double, but otherwise kept Ola in check to preserve the win. She struck out nine with no walks and four hits on 92 pitches. Alice Thomas had three hits for the Bears.

Jones County 9, Veterans 1

          The Greyhounds got going with a pair of three-run innings. Savannah Williams went all five innings for Jones County, striking out four with a walk and three hits. Madison Bennett, Destin Howard, and Makinsey Long had two hits each for the Greyhounds, Stephanie Youngblood driving in three runs, with two each from Long and Mackenzie Kilpatrick.

Morgan County 2, Rutland 1

          The Hurricanes committed an uncharacteristic six errors and lost by only a run, although both were unearned. The defensive effort nullified Bailey Caldwell’s complete-game two-hitter, with seven strikeouts and no walks. Taylor Stewart had three hits, nearly half of Rutland’s total.

Tattnall 9, Stratford 3

          The city rivalry was close after one, but Tattnall’s five-run second put the hosts in control. The Trojans’ from 2 through 6 in the lineup had two-hit nights: Kaitlyn Hallman, Grace Hiller, Courtney Ball, Lindsey Paul, and Kenna Epps. Epps drove in three runs and Hiller two. Paige Gray had two hits for the Eagles. Kenna Epps and Hailey Daughtry teamed for the win in the circle.

Taylor County 10, Brookstone 4

Westfield 10, Southland 2

          The Hornets needed four innings for the win, keyed by two-hit nights from Sadie Hayes, Elle Williams, and Avery Adams, Williams and Meg Hiley with two RBI each. Sydney Langdon fanned three in five innings for the win.
