          Central Fellowship and Citizens Christian got the most out of their GICAA state championship series, but host Citizens Christian got a little more.

College Roundup

          Georgia College scored five in the 11th to win and advance in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament. The tourney door opened a bit with eighth seed Georgia Southwestern beating top seed North Georgia.
          Mercer’s bullpen threw six shutout innings to key a one-run non-conference road win at Belmont.
          Houston County grad Tony Locey was on point with 10 Ks in seven innings to lead Georgia past Auburn. And Georgia Tech won a slugfest against Duke, sparked by two Baron Radcliff bombs.
          In softball, Mercer’s season came to an end in the Southern Conference Tournament with a loss to UNCG after winning an earlier elimination game.

Three relievers threw three shutout innings and gave up one hit as the offensively-challenged-again Braves survived to beat Arizona 2-1.
