Mary Persons 4, Perry 2
          Perry rallied to within one, but a run in the sixth gave Mary Persons a little cushion despite being outhit by four. Trippe Moore had two hits and two RBI for the Bulldogs, while Andrew Newhouse, Tanner Knowles, and Colby McCleese had two hits each for Perry. Moore fanned six with no walk for the complete-game win.

Taylor County 6, Manchester 3
          A three-run sixth was the difference for the Vikings, who outhit Manchester 15-8. Ryan Tharpe went 4-for-4 with three runs and Cy Scott went 3-for-3 with three RBI. Evan Hinton and Conner Tharpe added two hits each for Taylor County.

West Laurens 5, Spalding 4
          Tyler Franks sent a 1-2 pitch over the fence in right to bring in Bradley Wilson for the Raiders’ winning runs in the top of the fifth. Brook Slaughter had two hits and two runs, and Franks and Colton Scott two RBI each.

          Rutland grad Carol Pyon is in first, as are the Bears after the first two round on Monday, topping the likes of Charlotte, North Carolina, UCF, Chattanooga, and Notre Dame.
